House Fire - March 5, 2011

Warwick firefighters battled a house fire on Cascade Road Saturday evening March 5, 2011. On arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames pouring from the house. No one was in the home at the time of the fire but unfortunately one of the family’s two dogs was unable to escape the blaze and died in the fire. The house was heavily damaged by the fire which investigators believe was caused by a coal stove.
The Greenwood Lake and Goshen fire departments along with the Warwick Community Ambulance Service assisted Warwick FD at the scene. Crews from the Chester and Pine Island fire departments were on standby in Warwick’s stations during the incident.
